Recovery of Medical X-Ray and Industrial NDT Films

Radiographic films, as well as their development and fixing solutions, are special waste and their disposal or recovery must be carried out by specialized companies with the appropriate authorizations and certifications. These wastes also contain silver, a precious and valuable metal that is 100% recyclable.

With over 40 years of experience, we have developed our own electrochemical process to fully recover not only the silver, but also the plastic support, thereby minimizing environmental impact.

We recover and process:

Traditional analog radiographic (X-ray) films and dry view digital films from the medical sector

Public or private hospitals and clinics, nursing homes, medical centers, veterinary clinics, and similar facilities. Every 10 years these entities can dispose of their archives.

Industrial NDT radiographic films

Derived from non-destructive testing carried out in sectors such as: steel industry and mechanical engineering, aerospace, petrochemical and chemical industry, power plants;

Exhausted development, fixing, bleaching, and digital printing baths

From photographic and cinematographic laboratories, amusement parks.

We are able to recover not only the silver content, but also the plastic support by converting it into PET. We offer a complete solution, from site inspection and sampling, through submission of the recovery report, to the release of documents certifying the completed recovery (fourth copy of FIR) and declaration of destruction of sensitive data.
